For the 2015 season, we will have two sporting clays courses open. The Main Course has 15 stations (100 targets) comprising a wide variety of challenging targets. The Short Course has 7 stations (50 targets) with target presentations that are generally closer and slower than the Main Course.
Note the range will be closed to practice shooting during the
June 6 and 13 events. The 5-Stands will be open for practice shooting on these days.
Volunteers are needed
to help on the March 28th Startup Day to fill batteries, clean
and fix cables and buttons, stock targets, fill traps and other
duties as assigned. Contact Frank Stewart if you can help.
The Five-Stands and the pattern boards are currently open to
members. The gate combination is listed on your membership card.
Members should have received your new 2015 membership card
by February 10, 2015.
Tokens are available at the club office when the range is open
and available at Action Pawn on North 7th Ave. in Bozeman when
the range is closed from November through March. Each Token is $3.75 or 4
for $15. Please pay with cash. A membership card is required for
- GOLF CARTS Due to the increase in
amount of golf carts, repairs, and gas prices if
you would like to use a golf cart it will be $10
per round. The keys will be given out at the
marshalls office. However, any one who has a
physical handicap are more than welcome to use
the carts free of charge which was the orginal
purpose of the golf carts.
YOU MUST HAVE YOUR
MEMBERSHIP CARD TO SHOOT AT MEMBER FEES.
Remember to bring your card with you everytime
you shoot. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR CARD
YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE NONMEMBER FEE OF $35.
If you were a member in the
past and have punch tickets but have not paid
your yearly membership dues you will be charged
as an non member. (or two
punch tickets and $5)
As most of you know $15 per
round of 100 targets is almost unheard of in
sporting clays. The average round for 100 birds
for most sporting clays courses is $35-50. One
of the goals from the beginning of GSC was to
keep the round cost low. However,
when extra targets are taken or when
viewing the targets more than once the club
begins to suffer financially.
If you take extra targets pay
for them or give the marshall an extra half or
full ticket. Let's make sure we can keep our
shooting cost low.
